A touching story

I'm not sure why I read this but I think it has something to do with wanting to hear other peoples' reasons for coming to God. I have been a Christian pretty much all my life and sometimes feel like I don't have a good perspective of what it is like to "discover" Him for the first time as others do. For me, this story was a tear-jerker.

Broncos 37, Ducks 32

I just about had a heart attack on Saturday. After the Broncos took a decent lead of 21 points, Oregon burned the red-shirt year of their new QB, Thomas, in an effort to take back the game. It worked, to a degree. Thomas was good and he aired the ball, which BSU was not prepared for. He lead the Ducks in a charge that would nearly overtake the Broncos. They had been anticipating the run and, for all of the first half, had been right on. When O switched to passing, the defense had to adjust. In the last bit of the 4th, Boise State seemed to be better covering the pass and they pulled out the win.

As of Sunday's polls, Boise State Broncos are ranked & and Kellen Moore has been selected as the National Offensive Player of the Week. Oregon is now out of the top 25.

This is just wrong.

I don't care what side of the fence you are on, this is just wrong.

Broncos 20, Bowling Green 7

BSU wins game 2. Next week, Oregon Ducks. This will probably be one of the more challenging games for us this season. I'm really liking our new QB, Kellen Moore. He shows very calm under pressure and the accuracy is superb. Now it sounds like wide receiver Kirby Moore, Kellen's brother, has committed to the Broncos as well. Nice!

Boys of America

I've wondered for a while what my first post would be about. I stumbled upon a post at and it struck a chord with me. I'm sure it must have been an ad for Daisy but the content illustrates how much things have changed and reminded me how much I want to fight the wussification of America starting with my own kids.
