Boise State Broncos bumped up to #18 in Coaches, #21 in BCS

From :

The Boise State football team jumped several spots in each of the major polls Sunday, following their 32-7 rout of UNLV at home Saturday.

The Broncos team jumped from No. 22 to No. 18 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, from No. 23 to No. 19 in the Harris Poll, and from No. 24 to No. 21 in the Associated Press Top 25.

The coaches' poll and Harris poll are the two human components of the BCS Rankings, which will be released later Sunday.

In the coaches' poll, the Broncos (6-1) received a season-best 407 points, surpassing their previous high by 136 points.

This marks the fourth consecutive week that Boise State was included in the coaches polls, which accounts for one-third of a teams score in the BCS Standings.

The BCS Effect
While the Broncos received their biggest boost in the coaches poll this season, both Michigan and Wisconsin continued to gain momentum as well.

This weekend, the Wolverines went on the road and beat Michigan State, 12-10, while the Badgers won at home against Minnesota, 38-10.

The Broncos’ current hope of finishing in front of the Big Ten champion and climbing into the top 16 to secure the non-AQ auto bid will take a big hit if both Michigan and Wisconsin find a way to win out in the regular season. It is unlikely that Boise State could do enough with their remaining schedule (their last five opponents have a combine 14-20 record) to hold them off.

As if Hillary wasn't scary enough before, now she talks with spirits?

Worried ...

While speaking at a dedication ceremony for the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park in New York City on Wednesday, former President Bill Clinton said his wife “was known to commune” with Eleanor Roosevelt, and that Roosevelt had passed him a message through Hillary this week.

“A special thanks to the members of the Roosevelt family who are here,” Clinton said, at the park, located on Roosevelt Island.  “And the one who is not, Eleanor, who made sure that the four freedoms were included in the preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.”

Whoops, that dip in unemployment was a California boo boo

How curious that the jobless numbers dropped dramatically just before the last debate.  Guess what?  Just as curiously, .

Remember how the Bureau of Labor Statistics put out a bizarrely low jobless claims report last week, producing breathless coast-to-coast media coverage of the lowest claims level in four years?  Remember how it turned out they produced this report without having received all of the necessary data?  (BLS still won’t say exactly what was missing; it has been theorized that it had something to do with the numbers from California, which delayed calculation of the traditional “seasonal adjustments.”  However, the crew at disputes the California theory, growling that in truth, “nobody at the Department of Labor knows what is actually going on, and numbers are simply being picked out of thin air.”)

Felix Baumgartner skydives from space

Felix Baumgartner has made history by smashing the world record for the highest skydive after leaping from 128,097ft.

After ascending to the edge of space in a pressurised capsule suspended beneath a giant helium balloon, he jumped out, freefalling for four minutes and 19 seconds before opening his parachute.

Biden: Planned Parenthood 'Under Law Cannot Perform any Abortion'

Bzzzt.  Wrong answer Mr. Vice President.  The would be:

Planned Parenthood itself has claimed it committed 985,731 abortions in just the last three years alone.

In front of that crowd, Biden said, “And now these guys pledge that they are going to defund Planned Parenthood, which under law cannot perform any abortion” The fact is, though, .

There is no law at all that prevents Planned Parenthood from committing abortions whenever and whereever it likes.

There is a law that prevents PP from using Federal subsidies to pay for all the abortions, but good luck sorting out their general fund to figure out what came from where. The claim that they legally can't do something they are obviously doing is the flip side of previous statements saying Planned Parenthood does something that it does not.  The assertion that they perform  for example.

Do it yourself silenced shotgun

Don't forget to fill out all the necessary paperwork and pay the tax man!

Biden: Yes we do want to want to raise taxes by $1 trillion

He says it will happen by letting the tax cuts expire so that the wealthy pay more.  But the thing is, when the tax cuts expire, almost everyone will pay more.  Those in the 10% bracket will be bumped up by 5% to be lumped in with those making below $35K per year.  Everyone making more than that will pay 3% more in personal income taxes with the exception of the "super wealthy" who make over $382K.  Those folks, who already pay the vast majority of taxes, will be asked to pay almost 5% more.  I don't know how that makes it fair.  Fair would be if everyone was asked to pay the same percentage.  That way, as income increases so does the amount paid in taxes.   anyone?
