Intelligent design theories gaining steam in scientific circles

My wife is taking an anatomy and physiology class right now.  There is rarely a day of her studies that some intricate complexity of design is not remarked upon.  The human body, let alone the rest of the universe, is awe inspiring.  Read at :

Until Charles Darwin, almost everyone everywhere believed in some form of intelligent design (the majority still do): not just Christians, Jews, and Muslims, but almost every tribesman in every remote corner of the world drew the obvious conclusion from observing animals and plants that there must have been a mind behind the creation of living things. Darwin thought he could explain all of this apparent design through natural selection of random variations. In spite of the fact that there is no direct evidence that natural selection can explain anything other than very minor adaptations, his theory has gained widespread popularity in the scientific world, simply because no one can come up with a more plausible theory to explain evolution, other than intelligent design, which is dismissed by most scientists as “unscientific.”

Funny and both well educated and well spoken.  Worth spending the time watching this.

The silencing of the ducks

2013-12-20

A Facebook group demanding that A&E reinstate "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson has become more popular than the A&E's official Facebook page.

As of Friday, "Stand With Phil Robertson" has garnered more than  on Facebook, versus A&E's approximately 588,000.

A&E is walking a thin line with free speech issues.  Read the whole thing at :

I did not start viewing Duck Dynasty until a few months ago. It has since become our favorite show and we can’t get enough of it. Christian values, real people, guns and hunting – what’s not to love? But it would seem that being a Christian and espousing your beliefs in America is now becoming ever more dangerous., ultimately you will care and you will have to take a stand and take sides.
