Admiral William McRaven on How to Change the World

Very inspiring commencement speech. Read more at :

In his commencement address to the University of Texas at Austin’s class of 2014, McRaven himself shared 10 lessons he learned from SEAL training that are crucial for those who want to change the world:

1. Make your bed properly, because if you can’t do the little things right, you will never do the big things right.
2. Find someone to help you paddle.
3. Measure by the size of the heart, not the size of the flippers.
4. Get over being a sugar cookie, and keep moving forward.
5. Don’t be afraid of the circuses.
6. Sometimes you have to slide headfirst.
7. Don’t back down from the sharks.
8. You must be your very best in the darkest moments.
9. When you are up to your neck in cold mud, start singing.
10. Don’t ever, ever ring the bell.

Ted Cruz: Senate Dems, Led By Schumer, Want to ‘Repeal the First Amendment’ This Year

Don't think the 2nd Amendment is the only one under attack. :

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) told attendees at a Family Research Council pastors retreat that Democrats wanted to limit free speech through amending the Constitution.
“When you think it can’t get any worse, it does,” Cruz said at the FRC’s Watchmen on the Wall 2014 event in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. “This year, I’m sorry to tell you, the United States Senate is going to be voting on a constitutional amendment to repeal the First Amendment.”

Calling these “perilous, perilous times,” Cruz said Senate Democrats have said they are ready to vote on the amendment, Senate Joint Resolution 19 – “an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relating to contributions and expenditures intended to affect elections.”

“Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has announced the Senate Democrats are scheduling a vote on a constitutional amendment to give Congress the authority to regulate political speech, because elected officials have decided they don’t like it when the citizenry has the temerity to criticize what they’ve done,” he said.

New technology that allows parents to hold a life-size model of their unborn child

Pretty darn cool. Technology has come a long way since my kids were born. It would have been pretty awesome to hold a life-size 3D model of the kids prior to their birth. :

It's a defining moment in a parent's life: Seeing their unborn child's image on an ultrasound for the first time. Now pregnant women could have the chance to hold a life-size model of their unborn baby.

The startling new medical technology is the result of a Royal College of Art design student's PhD.

Utah Representative: Defund Burgeoning Armed Federal Employees

After more reports of , Congress is taking notice. This article from :

Federal agencies are increasingly granting agents the authority to carry weapons and execute search warrants, a trend that one congressman is hoping to reverse.

Rep. Chris Stewart is preparing legislation to defund the law enforcement units of agencies, such as the Bureau of Land Management and the Environmental Protection Agency, whose primary purpose is regulatory.

"The fundamental challenge is that people like me simply do not trust the federal government any longer. We see examples of non-law enforcement agencies taking a very heavy hand, using armed SWAT teams against citizens, and that leads to an even deeper mistrust," the Utah Republican told Newsmax.

Watch Dr. Ben Carson’s Powerful Point on Welfare

From :

On Tuesday morning, Dr. Ben Carson appeared on ABC’s The View. After an animated debate about healthcare, something interesting happened.

During his interview he was asked by Terry Crews (You may know him from the Old Spice Commercials or the movie White Chicks) if he thought welfare was racist. This is how Carson responded:

“When you rob someone of their incentive to go out there and improve themselves, you are not doing them any favors. When you take someone and pat someone on their head and say there there, you poor little thing… I am going to give you food stamps… let me give you housing subsidy… let me give you free health care… and because you cannot do that and those people over there that are causing half of your problems.”

At which point he was interrupted by co-host Whoopi Goldberg, but eventually was able to finish his point saying:

“So what would be much more empowering, would be to use our intellect and our resources to give those people a way up and out.”

To which Crews clapped and replied:

“I agree.”

We Believe All Students Are Winners… So The Competitive "Urge To Win" Must Be Kept To A Minimum

No winners, no losers. Everyone always fits nicely in the gooey middle, so why even try to excel? From :

Parents of students at North Hill Elementary in Rochester Hills, Michigan, have reportedly been informed that all students are “winners,” therefore the “competitive ‘urge to win’ will be kept to a minimum” at the school’s annual field day.

The flyer, , reads in part:

The purpose of the day is for our school to get together for an enjoyable two hours of activities and provide an opportunity for students, teachers and parents to interact cooperatively. Since we believe that all of our children are winners, the need for athletic ability and the competitive “urge to win” will be kept to a minimum. The real reward will be the enjoyment and good feelings of participation.

Bennett Staph, who claims to be a parent with a child at the school, reportedly posted a photo of the field day notice on Facebook. She said she was “proud” of her daughter for “pointing out the ridiculousness of it.”

New York Abortion Bill Allows Shooting Babies Through the Heart With Poison

Read the entire article at :

A group of pro-abortion Democratic State Senators continued to push today for abortion-expansion, despite polls showing the overwhelming majority of New Yorkers oppose their dangerous agenda. And the bill has grisly consequences.

“How many times do New Yorkers have to reject this radical agenda that would legalize abortion for any reason through all nine months?” asked Lori Kehoe, New York State Right to Life executive director. “New York is already the abortion capital of the United States, with practically no oversight of the industry, but they would rather protect the abortion business than New York women. It’s wrong.”

Throughout the second trimester, late abortions can be completed by dismembering the developed unborn child, even when they can feel pain, pulling the baby out piece by piece until the mother’s uterus is empty. After the abortion, the abortionist must reassemble the child’s body to ensure nothing has been left inside the child’s mother.

Former Abortion Clinic Director: "Our Goal was 3-5 Abortions Per Student"

Make no mistake, they are after your kids' hearts and minds.  From :

Once upon a time, abortion activists used the catchphrase “safe, legal, and rare” as a way to sell people the pro-abortion cause — but make no mistakes, they never actually believed it. The goal has always been to get people to have as many abortions as possible, as :

Public school sexual education programs run by pro-choice groups “break down the natural modesty (of students), they separate them from their parents and their values … and they eventually give them low-dose birth control pills they know they’ll get pregnant on,” Everett told Progressives Today.

Everett understands the tactics used by pro-choice organizations like Planned Parenthood because she earned a living in the profitable abortion industry. She ran four different abortion centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area between 1977 and 1983, when she changed her position on the issue.
