Sharia is here: Florida judge to resolve critical legal issue by referencing Ecclesiastical Islamic Law

has an interesting article about a lawsuit currently being heard in Florida. I'm going to have to side with the mosque on this one. Sharia does not belong in a U.S. court. I'd go a step further and say it with the U.S. Constitution and laws at all.

The question of what law applies in any Florida courtroom usually comes down to two choices: federal or state.

But Hillsborough Circuit Judge Richard Nielsen is being attacked by conservative bloggers after he ruled in a lawsuit March 3 that, to resolve one crucial issue in the case, he will consult a different source.

"This case," the judge wrote, "will proceed under Ecclesiastical Islamic Law."

Nielsen said he will decide in a lawsuit against a local mosque, the Islamic Education Center of Tampa, whether the parties in the litigation properly followed the teachings of the Koran in obtaining an arbitration decision from an Islamic scholar.

The suit was filed by several men who say they were improperly ousted as trustees in 2002. The dispute may decide who controls $2.2 million the center received from the state after some of its land was used in a road project.

But attorney Paul Thanasides last week appealed Nielson's decision with the 2nd District Court of Appeal, saying religion has no place in a secular court.

His client: the mosque.

Jews in settlement community save the lives of a Palestinian woman and her baby

This is not something I would typically post about, but I in the last week I have read a few stories about a Jewish family of five, three of them young children, murdered in their sleep by men from a neighboring town. Against my better judgement, I even watched a video of the crime scene. As you could expect, it was horrifying.  writes about that event:

Five members of the  were slaughtered by Muslims waging jihad last week in the village of Itamar: Udi 36, the father; Ruth (35) the mother; and three of their children Yoav (11), Elad (4), and Hadas (3 months). All were stabbed or had their throats slit.

 hung the following Hebrew prayer:

May it be Your will, L-rd G-d and G-d of our forefathers, that I love every one of Israel as myself, and to graciously perform the positive commandment of loving your neighbor as yourself.

GOP joins with Dems to slash funding for border security

Et tu, GOP? I thought that national security was one of the few things the Federal government was supposed to provide. Don't they have an entitlement program or two they should be looking at instead? From :

Crucial border security programs are on the chopping block under a government spending bill proposed by Republicans, who have long called for strengthening security along the notoriously violent and porous southern border.

The hypocritical move essentially puts Republicans on the same page as Democrats on a contentious issue that has long been the source of partisan battles. President Obama’s proposed 2011 budget, revealed just a few weeks ago, reduces the number of Border Patrol agents along the Mexican border by 180 and cuts $226 million in funding for an electronic “virtual fence.”

The Republican government spending bill introduced just days ago slashes $600 million from border security and immigration enforcement funds. It would not reduce the number of Border Patrol agents but would decrease funding for border security fencing and technology by $350 million and a federal employment verification program (known as E-Verify) by about $33 million.

It's official. The border between Canada and the U.S. has just been erased by the swipe of a pen.

Who needs those pesky borders anyhow? It's not like they serve a purpose or anything.

Barack Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper quietly have taken a major step toward erasing the border between the two nations with a new "Beyond the Border" bilateral declaration.

In a ceremony designed to remain below the radar of national public opinion, Obama and Harper bypassed Congress to sign on the basis of their executive authority a declaration that put in place a new national security vision defined not by U.S. national borders, but by a continental view of a "North American perimeter."

It happened Friday, the day the Obama administration usually pushes through issues that it prefers the media ignore.

By signing the declaration, the Obama administration has implemented without congressional approval a key initiative President Bush began under the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, moving the United States and Canada beyond the North American Free Trade Agreement, commonly known as NAFTA, toward a developing North American Union regional government.

Foreign Trade Zone in Boise?

UPDATE - From :

A key argument of Corsi's book, "America for Sale: Fighting the New World Order, Surviving a Global Depression, and Preserving USA Sovereignty," is that China will not long continue to subsidize the Obama administration's trillion-dollar annual federal budget deficits without demanding U.S. assets in return.

"This ambitious, long-term proposal would start with a manufacturing and warehouse zone tied to the airport, and could signify a shift in the economic relationship between the two superpowers," the Idaho Statesman's Rocky Barker reported.

Other Chinese companies are already active in Idaho, according to Barker.

Abercrombie Admits There Are No Obama Birth Records In Hawaii

Quickest.180. Ever.  In this video it seems pretty clear who he talked to, when he talked to them, and what they said. Down below, his story changes dramatically.

.  I wonder who talked to him in the short amount of time between statements?

A celebrity journalist now claims he misspoke when he said last week that Hawaii’s governor told him he was unable to find President Barack Obama’s original birth certificate after a search of state and hospital archives.

Mike Evans told on Wednesday he was remorseful and embarrassed that he appeared to have given the impression that he had discussed the search for Obama’s birth certificate with Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie.

Evans, who says he has been a close friend of Abercrombie since the 1980s, appeared on Minnesota’s KQRS radio last week and said he’d been told by the governor himself that Obama’s birth certificate was nowhere to be found. Evans told KQRS on Jan. 20:
