Already IRS Cannot Account for $67 Million From ObamaCare Slush Fund

What would happen if you lost $67 million of your employer's money?  Yep, fired.  At :

The ObamaCare debacle hasn’t even been implemented yet, and :

The IRS is unable to account for $67 million spent from a slush fund established for Obamacare implementation, according to a Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) released [Wednesday].

The “Health Insurance Reform Implementation Fund” (HIRIF) was tucked into Obamacare in order to give the IRS money to enforce the tax provisions of the healthcare law. The fund, totaling some $1 billion of taxpayer money, was used to roll out enforcement mechanisms for the approximately 50 tax provisions of Obamacare.

The IRS has been given a central role in imposing ObamaCare.

Check back in a couple of years. Tens of $billions will be vanishing from ObamaCare funds through graft and incompetence.

There are rules in the hard sciences that simply cannot be violated. The same applies to political science. Prominent among them: The larger and more powerful the government, the more corrupt and inefficient it will be.

California poised to become first state to impose full ban on lead bullets

Cali's war against anything remotely related to firearms continues.  From :

California is on the verge of becoming the first state to impose a full ban on hunting with lead bullets -- with environmentalists and gun-rights advocates squaring off as Gov. Jerry Brown decides whether to sign the legislation.

The state already has a ban on lead-bullet hunting in eight counties with an endangered condor population. But the new proposal, overwhelmingly approved this month by the Democrat-controlled General Assembly, would impose a statewide ban on all hunting.

Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown has until Oct. 12 to decide whether to sign the legislation, which would not be fully implemented for at least several years.

Environmentalists and other supporters have broadened their argument beyond protecting the prehistoric condor bird, saying the lead bullets, and the left-behind lead fragments on which animals feed, are making their way into the country’s edible meat supply.

And they point to a 2008 study by the Centers for Disease Control and the North Dakota Department of Public Health that concluded lead is so prevalent in meat harvested through hunting that pregnant women and children should never eat it.

Duck Dynasty: We’re Using Hollywood to Spread Christian Values

Love this show.  Keep it up, boys!  Sourced from :

Alan is the eldest son of Robertson family patriarch and Duck Commander company founder Phil Robertson.

When he announced he was stepping down from his pastorship, , “What I do for our church–you see, it’s a pretty good-sized church–impacts a lot of people, but because of my association with the show, I’ll get to minister to a lot more people. Any person that’s an evangelist, that’s what you want to do, so I had to give this up for something possibly bigger.”

This month he’s taking that farther saying that he and his family are actually using Hollywood for a purpose for which it is not used to being used.

Congress exempts itself from ObamaCare

How convenient.  Seen at :

Members of Congress are brazenly insisting the laws they pass apply to everyone but themselves.

Republicans and Democrats, who can agree on almost nothing else, are planning to exempt themselves and their staff from Sect. 1312 (d) of the Affordable Care Act that requires them to get their health insurance on the newly created insurance exchanges and pay the same premiums the public will have to pay.

Currently, members of Congress and their staff are covered by plans they chose through the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program, with taxpayers picking up 75 percent of the tab. The thinking behind the new requirement is that what’s good enough for the public ought to be good enough for Congress.

Sadly, Washington lawmakers don’t agree. They claim that despite their generous salaries (members earn $174,000), they can’t afford Obamacare premiums. What the government deems “affordable” for the rest of us isn’t affordable for them.

For example, in New York City, a family of three with a household income of $80,000 will be required to pay a whopping $12,784 for the second cheapest silver plan with a $3,000 deductible. This family won’t be eligible for a tax credit. Washington says $12,784 is “affordable” for them. But not for a member of Congress with more than double that income. Under the scheme the lawmakers are pushing, they would have to pay only $3,193 for the same plan.

A Good Reason For Campus Carry

No means to protect themselves and little or no action taken by the campus or local law enforcement when a crime is committed.  It's a lose/lose situation for these ladies.  Seen at :

College campuses, safe places according to ESU officials in Kansas, are experiencing an outrageous problem. The problem is occurring on many campuses, not just one or two. While more reports are showing up, we need to fight for campus carry laws. Our young women are furthering their education while taking a large risk in today’s society.

is under federal investigation after several reports of sexual assaults and rapes have been swept under the rug. The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights has been looking into allegations based on a Title IX complaint that was filed in May.Thirteen students along with several others that were not named say the school failed to follow up on sexual violence reports. Documents state that the campus could be in violation of the gender equality law. Jody Shipper, the executive director of the Office of Equity and Diversity, doesn’t know if any violations occurred, but is exploring every possibility.

N. Carolina Lawmakers Scrapping Tenure, Introducing A Voucher Program

A step in the right direction.

Even though tenure allows instructors more freedom of speech by ensuring they don't lose their job for something they say or publish, it also removes the incentive to do their job well because they won't be penalized for doing poor work in the classroom (if they even continue to teach).  Seen at :

North Carolina lawmakers recently passed a new state budget that includes education reforms that would improve teacher quality and expand school choice options for families.

NC-capitalRepublican leaders in the state House and Senate recently announced they’ve reached agreement on a $20.6 billion budget for the 2013-14 fiscal year that includes a $23.6 million provision “that scraps the longstanding teacher tenure system in favor of employing educators on contracts that are renewed based on performance reviews,” the  reports.

“Starting in 2014, it would also set aside $10 million to allow families that meet income guidelines to get state money to pay private school tuition,” the news service reports.

The Elite’s Agenda Explained in 22 Quotes

Some of these I've read before, others not.  Look at the status and direction of society today; how far off are we from their vision?  Seen at :

1. “In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn’t such a great idea after all.” — Strobe Talbot, President Clinton’s Deputy Secretary of State, as quoted in Time, July 20th, 1992.

2. “The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of “liberalism” they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” — Norman Thomas, for many years U.S. Socialist Presidential candidate.

3. “Today the path of total dictatorship in the United States can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by the Congress, the President, or the people. Outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system, another body representing another form of government – a bureaucratic elite.” — Senator William Jenner, 1954
